Domain Registration Agreement

Version 2026-10 · effective 1 October 2026

This agreement covers every domain you buy through Amboras. It forms part of our Terms of Service. You accept it when you pay for a domain.

Domains are registered through our sponsoring registrar, Tucows Domains Inc. Your registration is also governed by the registrar's published registration agreement and by the policies of the registry that runs the extension.

1. Registrant obligations

You must give accurate, complete contact details for the registrant and keep them up to date. You must answer the registry's contact verification email; an unverified domain can be suspended. You confirm that your use of the domain does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law.

2. Data use

We pass the registrant contact details to the registrar and the registry so the domain can be registered and kept. Where the extension supports it, WHOIS privacy hides those details from the public directory. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

3. Dispute policy (UDRP and URS)

Disputes over a domain name are resolved under the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) or the Uniform Rapid Suspension System (URS), or the equivalent policy of the extension's registry. You agree to take part in any such proceeding about your domain.

4. Suspension and cancellation

A domain can be suspended or cancelled if its contact details are false or unverified, if it is used for abuse or unlawful activity, if a dispute decision or court order requires it, or if a payment for it is reversed. A domain whose chargeback is lost is placed on hold until the payment is made.

5. Transfer policy

You can transfer a domain to another registrar after the 60-day lock that follows registration or a registrant change. .uk names have no such lock and move by an IPS-tag change requested by the new registrar. Transfers are not refunded.

6. Expiry, renewal and redemption

Domains renew automatically every year until you turn auto-renew off in Settings → Domains. We email you before each renewal. After expiry a domain enters a grace period in which it can be renewed at the renewal price, then a redemption period in which it can be recovered only for the redemption fee. After that the registry releases the name.

7. Fees

Registration, renewal and redemption prices for every extension are on our domain fee table.
